THE SEAT OF ILLUSIONS, an audiovisual art piece for projections, specially created for Fjord Oslo, explores the theme of perspective by playing with optical illusions on a giant water screen.

Inspired by Optical Art and scientific experiments on cognition and illusions, the artwork takes us on an immersive journey that questions our vision of reality.

FR

Jérémie Bellot, a digital artist and an architect, designs and produces architectural, visual, light and sound installations. His work questions the role of light in lived and perceived space through immersive audiovisual projects. Nourished by polyhedral geometry and mathematical arts, he offers a new perception of space while questioning our relationship to architectural and natural heritage.

Originally from Orléans, France, Jérémie Bellot studied Cinema as well as Architecture, he became State Architect and devoted himself to his artistic practice. Architect and digital artist, he co-founded AV Extended in 2014 and became curator for the festival Constellations in Metz five years later. In 2020, he co-founded the project “Château de Beaugency, Digital Art Center” and ensures its programming and artistic direction.
