Abyss is a mysterious creature coming from the depths of the world. The spectator is instantly immersed in its disturbing universe.

The light and sound path along the massive skeleton gives life to the strange creature. The audience can control Abyss through two controls on each side of the installation.

Its delicate and luminous structure is formed by 4 grand arcs connected in a meticulous network of cables. Supported by concrete ballast, the whole structure is in a continuous balance, animated by a strong desire for freedom.

Module is a Lyon-based producer of monumental installations in public space. Founded by artist-architect Nicolas Paolozzi in 2017, it explores the effects of large-scale architecture animated by light and sound.

Nicolas Paolozzi began his work in 2011 with RDV Collective, a digital art project that explored the possibilities of image, sound and digital tools in audiovisual installations, stage design and experimental settings. With Module he carries this work further, with a concerted focus on the architectural and monumental in all his pieces.

Since 2017, Module has been an artist ambassador of Lyon Festival of Lights.
