Darkness cannot drive out darkness;
only light can do that.

Light Art Festival
Fjord Oslo is a free art festival that transforms Harbour Promenade into an outdoor exhibition of light, open to all.
Bringing together and an international program of renowned artists, this celebration is a broad exploration of light art.
By taking art onto the streets for three nights, Fjord Oslo invites to a social, powerful and inclusive experience of art and light.
Second edition of Fjord Oslo is moved to 2021!
Fjord Oslo is moving to 5-7 November 2021.
In line with the recent Covid-19 regulations announced by the Norwegian Government and authorities of Oslo, we’ve decided that the best and safest course of action is to postpone our event until 2021.
Safety has always been our priority, and as further measures are necessary to bring the pandemic under control in Oslo, we are doing our part to ensure this happens. Considering the large, enthusiastic audience we attracted when we launched in 2019, this is a necessary decision for this unprecedented year; we all need to stay at home and keep social contact to a minimum. We, our partners and our artists believe that this decision will ensure that we can all share a truly uplifting festival experience in the safest conditions possible next year.
This decision is very sad for us. We’ve been working hard all year since our inaugural festival in 2019, and are enormously proud of the amazing contributions from the artists in our program. We remain deeply committed to sharing these – and more – with you at the second edition of Fjord Oslo, and we promise that we will be back to light up Oslo this time next year.
We look forward to a lighter future, together.
